Three Bridges Opened in the Framework of the Southern Entrance Expansion Project of the Capital

Three bridges, part of the southern entrance expansion project of the capital, located in El Mourouj and Bir El Kasaa, were opened to traffic on Friday, September 13.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Equipment and Housing, this development aims to improve traffic flow for users coming from the Naasen and Bir Kassa roads towards Rades and the city center, as well as for those coming from the "Miami" intersection towards Ben Arous and the city center.

This project, financed with approximately 370 million dinars and co-financed by the Tunisian state and the European Investment Bank (EIB), aims to strengthen the road linking the capital to neighboring cities.

Work on the fourth bridge, parallel to the three recently opened ones, is nearing completion and is expected to be finalized by December 2024.

Once this stage is completed, the old bridges will be demolished to make way for this new infrastructure.
