Oracle Announces the Upcoming Launch of Two Cloud Regions in Morocco
Oracle announced on May 30, 2024, the upcoming opening of two Oracle Cloud regions in Morocco, located in Casablanca and Settat. This initiative aims to provide cloud services to businesses across the African continent, enabling a smoother migration of workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) while respecting local regulations.
These new cloud regions will offer African businesses access to a comprehensive range of cutting-edge services to modernize their applications and foster innovation. By migrating to OCI, customers will benefit from the security, performance, and flexibility needed to meet the growing demands of the market.
The announcement was made official during the GITEX Africa 2024 event, a premier technology event, where agreements were signed between Moroccan ministers and Oracle leaders.
