Ooredoo Tunisia Reinforces its Commitment to Social Responsibility

As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility, Ooredoo Tunisia has chosen to further strengthen its support for families in need through its "Tounes T3ich" program. This year, the company has launched a sustainable development initiative aimed at improving the financial situation of these families and providing them with long-term income opportunities.

A Comprehensive Approach to Support

Rather than limiting itself to one-time aid, Ooredoo Tunisia, in collaboration with the Soli & Green association, has provided financial and material support to several Agricultural Development Groups (GDAs) located in Nefza, Aïn Draham, Zaghouan, Tunis, Takelsa, and Mannouba. These nine GDAs bring together around 400 farmers, the majority of whom are rural women, meaning that nearly 400 Tunisian families will directly benefit from this initiative. The support aims to strengthen and develop their agricultural and agri-food processing activities by providing essential equipment such as beehives, dryers, electric presses for oil extraction, distillers, and other tools to enhance local products, improve production quality, and increase revenue.

Diverse Agricultural Activities

The beneficiary GDAs are active in several sectors, including dried plants, honey, essential oils, rose and geranium water, traditional preserved food products, olive oil, carob, spices, and other high-value-added agricultural products. This approach contributes to strengthening the social and solidarity economy while supporting local value chains.

Aligning with Ooredoo Tunisia's Strategic Vision

This initiative is part of Ooredoo Tunisia's strategic vision for social responsibility, focusing on sustainable development, empowering rural women, and strengthening local economies through concrete solutions that ensure financial autonomy and lasting impact.

A Statement from the CEO

On this occasion, Eyas Assaf, CEO of Ooredoo Tunisia, stated: "Corporate social responsibility remains a top priority for Ooredoo Tunisia through our 'Tounes T3ich' program. This Ramadan, we are proud to support nearly 400 Tunisian families by contributing to strengthening their means of subsistence and enabling them to further develop their own activities. Through such initiatives, we aim to improve living conditions, support local communities, and create a lasting positive impact in the regions where we operate."

Reaffirming Commitment to Local Communities

Through this initiative, Ooredoo Tunisia reaffirms its strong commitment to local communities and creating a long-term positive impact, in line with its vision of a more inclusive and resilient society.
