UNIDO Implements 13 National and 2 Regional Projects in Tunisia
The number of projects implemented in Tunisia by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has reached 13 national and 2 regional projects in various fields, including industrial development, craftsmanship, agriculture, environment, as well as economic empowerment of women**, with the support of certain financial partners.
Minister of Economy and Planning Praises UNIDO's Role
The Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, praised the role of UNIDO in industrial development and job creation during a meeting held on Monday with the Representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Tunisia, Lassâad Ben Hassine. He appreciated UNIDO's efforts in supporting Tunisia's development path through its programs and projects, expressing his hope that this fruitful cooperation will be further supported and expanded in the coming period.
UNIDO Representative Expresses Willingness to Consolidate Partnership
For his part, Lassâad Ben Hassine expressed the organization's willingness to further consolidate the existing partnership and continue coordination in this regard, serving the economic and social development in Tunisia.
Ongoing Cooperation Since 1994
It is worth noting that the current cooperation, initiated in 1994, covers 15 projects in various fields, supported by organizations such as the European Union, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy.
