Sustainability Takes Center Stage in the Financial Sector

OLEA, a leading insurance and reinsurance broker and key player in risk management, is making a proactive commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.

In the face of growing climate change challenges, OLEA Tunisia is taking a decisive turn towards environmental respect. The company is making sustainability a central axis of its strategy, both for its internal operations and the solutions it offers to its clients.

OLEA Tunisia's commitment is materializing through actions aimed at reducing its carbon footprint. Optimizing clean energy consumption and digitizing its processes are key measures in this approach. The objective is clear: to minimize the environmental impact of the company's activities. This transition is part of a larger initiative orchestrated by the OLEA group, in collaboration with its majority shareholder, DIOT-SIACI, a European leader in insurance brokerage. Indeed, the insurance and reinsurance broker is participating, alongside the DIOT-SIACI group, in an ambitious project to evaluate its carbon footprint, led by Myriam El Khomri, former French minister and Director of the Council and CSR Strategy. This project aims to measure and reduce the carbon emissions of the group's companies, with particular attention paid to subsidiaries. OLEA Tunisia is one of the five subsidiaries selected for this initiative. Obtaining environmental certification will enhance OLEA's competitiveness, both for tenders and to showcase its ecological commitment on the African continent.

Reforestation, Biodiversity, and Renewable Energy

However, OLEA Tunisia's ecological action goes beyond reducing its carbon footprint. The company is actively involved in projects to defend local ecosystems through the OLEA Impact program. This program includes initiatives such as tree planting, as well as other actions aimed at restoring and protecting biodiversity. These projects demonstrate OLEA's willingness to actively engage in environmental protection, while raising awareness among local communities and partners about these critical issues.

In parallel, OLEA Tunisia continues to develop innovative insurance solutions to support projects related to renewable energy, a sector in full growth. The company offers specialized coverage for ecological infrastructure such as solar and wind farms. With its expertise in risk management, OLEA enables these actors to concretize their green projects safely, with solutions tailored to their specific needs.

This orientation towards responsible and sustainable practices positions OLEA Tunisia as a key player in the ecological transition, both in Tunisia and in Africa. By combining economic performance and environmental respect, the company demonstrates that it is possible to reconcile development and planet preservation, while meeting the expectations of its clients and communities.
