Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to Launch New Platform for Collecting Data on Unemployed PhD Holders

The number of unemployed PhD holders in Tunisia is estimated to be between 3,500 and 4,000, representing nearly 69% of PhD holders in the country. This situation has prompted the authorities to implement concrete solutions to better support these graduates by creating a dedicated platform.

The platform, which will be operational in the coming days, aims to create a comprehensive database on these PhD holders. The ministry is inviting all concerned PhD holders to register their information, which will facilitate the tracking of files and the development of action plans for the professional integration of PhD holders.

In parallel with the creation of the platform, a recruitment program is planned for 2024, with the integration of 920 PhD holders. Among them, 800 will be recruited by the Ministry of Higher Education.

This program is part of the measures aimed at alleviating the crisis of unemployment among high-level graduates in the country.
