Support for Tunisian Farmers Affected by Intense Rains

After intense rains hit several regions of Tunisia, the Tunisian Solidarity Bank (BTS) has decided to take action. On January 23, 2026, it launched a concrete support program to help small farmers transform these climate hazards into opportunities, particularly for market gardening crops. The idea is to simplify the lives of those who feed us. The BTS is allocating an envelope of 12 million dinars with conditions tailored to the field:

  • Zero barriers: Loans granted without guarantees and without personal contribution.
  • Amount: Up to 10,000 dinars per farmer.
  • Flexibility: Repayment over 3 years, with a grace period (deferred period) adapted to your production rhythm.

    Who is concerned?

The program focuses on six particularly active governorates: Nabeul, Monastir, Bizerte, Ariana, Manouba, and Ben Arous. To make this support truly useful, BTS teams will work hand in hand with technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture. Field visits will be organized to understand the real needs of each farm.

    How to benefit?

No time to waste! Files can be submitted from this Monday, January 26, 2026, and you have until the end of March to contact your local BTS agency.
