Official Launch of Biometric Capture Procedure for New Congolese Passport

The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in Tunisia has announced the official launch of the biometric capture procedure for the establishment of the new Congolese passport. This operation, intended for the entire Congolese community residing in Tunisia, will begin on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Procedure Overview

The diplomatic institution specifies that the process will take place in four stages, from online application to collection of the final document.

Stage 1: Preliminary Formalities and Online Payment

Citizens must first obtain a Tax Identification Number via the official website app.dgirdc.cd, fill out the form available on www.passeport.gouv.cd, and pay the fees of $75, plus $6 in bank fees. The payment will be made online, by Visa or MasterCard, on the Equity BCDC bank website (passeport.equitybcdc.cd). Once this operation is completed, the embassy must be informed at +21655004050.

Stage 2: Preparation of Required Documents

The required documents include:

  • Old passport
  • Valid residence card
  • Consular card
  • Birth certificate or equivalent
  • Proof of payment
  • Parental authorization for minors

Stage 3: Biometric Capture

After validation of these documents, the embassy will contact applicants to schedule an appointment for biometric capture, the third phase of the process. The services remind that no applicant will be received without a prior appointment.

Stage 4: Collection of the New Passport

The final stage will consist of collecting the new passport, printed in Kinshasa and shipped to Tunisia. Interested parties will be directly contacted by the embassy to retrieve the document.

Important Notice

In its statement, the embassy invites all Congolese nationals in Tunisia to strictly follow these procedures to ensure a rapid and efficient service.
