Ministry of Transport Appoints New President-Director General of the Merchant Marine and Ports Office
The Ministry of Transport announced on July 2 the appointment of Khaoula Belakhdhar as President-Director General of the Merchant Marine and Ports Office (OMMP), according to official records. This decision was formalized by Decree No. 2024-398 of June 28, 2024, published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic (JORT) No. 080 of July 1, 2024.
Khaoula Belakhdhar, a general engineer, takes the helm of the OMMP, an organization created in 1965. The OMMP is responsible for the attributions entrusted to the maritime authority and administration, as well as the missions of the port authority, in accordance with current legislation.
