Stock Exchange Regulation: New Classification of Listed Companies
In accordance with Decision No. 1/6/2021 of the Stock Exchange, modified by the Stock Exchange Council on May 2, 2023, listed companies on the Main Market are divided into three compartments:
- Compartment A: Companies with a market capitalization of 200 million dinars or more.
- Compartment B: Companies with a market capitalization below 200 million dinars.
- Compartment S (Under Surveillance): Companies that fail to meet their financial information obligations or are affected by events disrupting their situation or the proper functioning of the market.
The market capitalization used for classification is calculated as the average daily capitalization between September 1 and November 30, 2024, while for new listings, it is based on the introduction price.
Listing Requirements for 2025
To be continuously listed in 2025, securities must have recorded at least 1,200 transactions between December 1, 2023, and November 30, 2024, with a minimum of 300 transactions per quarter over at least two quarters.
Changes to the Stock Exchange Listing
As of Thursday, January 2, 2025, the following changes will be made to the stock exchange listing:
- Transfers from Compartment B to Compartment S:
- Les Ciments de Bizerte
- Somocer
- Sotemail
- STIP
- Telnet HOLDING
- Changes in Group Classification:
- Somocer and Telnet Holding: from Group 11 (Continu) to Group 99 (Fixing)
- Les Ciments de Bizerte, Sotemail, and STIP: from Group 12 (Fixing) to Group 99 (Fixing)
- Transfer from Compartment S to Compartment B:
- Cellcom (transferred from Group 99 (Fixing) to Group 12 (Fixing))
- Changes in Group Classification:
- SPDIT-SICAF, Tunis RE, Tunisie Leasing & Factor, and Wifak International Bank: from Group 12 (Fixing) to Group 11 (Continu)
