Four African Startups Win NBA Africa's Triple-Double Accelerator, Securing Cash Prizes and Mentorship Opportunities
In mid-September, NBA Africa unveiled a selection of 10 startups from seven African countries. These startups then participated in a demo day at the NBA headquarters in New York on September 25, where a jury designated four winners. Here are the results:
- Festival Coins from Nigeria took first place with a $50,000 prize
- Salubata from Nigeria finished second and received $40,000
- HustleSasa from Kenya secured third place with a $30,000 prize
- UBR VR from Egypt took fourth place, winning $20,000
In addition to the cash prizes, the four winning startups will benefit from ongoing mentorship, as well as the opportunity to participate in workshops and development programs led by NBA Africa or its partners. The six remaining finalists each received $10,000.
