Southern Wood Panel Manufacturing (MPBS) Sees 64.4% Increase in Revenue in Q2 2024
Southern Wood Panel Manufacturing (MPBS) has reported a 64.4% increase in revenue in the second quarter of 2024, reaching 44.2 million dinars, driven by strong growth in local sales. Local sales surged by 78%, offsetting a 23.4% decline in exports. In the first half of 2024, MPBS invested 477 million dinars in modernizing its infrastructure and 49 million dinars in acquiring 98% of its subsidiary "MPBS MARKET".
On the other hand, MPBS's overall debt increased by 32.4%, reaching 24.5 million dinars as of June 30, 2024, largely due to an increase in short-term debt. The companies of the MPBS group recorded total revenues of 84.5 million dinars in the first half of 2024, representing a 41% increase compared to 2023.
