Monoprix has announced its 2024 revenue (excluding taxes) of 732,621 MTND, representing a 7.1% increase compared to 2023. The company's net income has been established at 6,834 MTND. At the consolidated level, the group's net income stands at 6,872 MTND.
As a reminder, the retail chain had reported a loss of -3,342 MTND in the first half of the year, making the second half a significant turnaround. The management is focusing on strategically selecting locations for new stores, targeting areas with high purchasing power. Recently, they innovated by signing a strategic partnership with Fintech Flouci, allowing customers to simplify financial transactions through wallets. Last year, Monoprix adopted artificial intelligence to manage food product expiration dates, offering discounts to customers. This initiative has a dual benefit: reducing food waste, which contributes to the company's ESG efforts, and minimizing losses and provisions.
The Board of Directors has decided to convene an Ordinary General Meeting of shareholders on Thursday, June 12, 2025. A dividend of 0.150 TND is proposed. Last year, the company resumed paying dividends to its shareholders after a five-year hiatus. This confirmation of profitability and strong start to 2025 is expected to boost the company's stock on the market, particularly as investors are seeking new investment opportunities.
