Partial and Temporary Traffic Restructuring on Regional Road No. 22

To continue the final phase of the southern entrance expansion project in the capital, the Ministry of Equipment and Housing announced yesterday, October 30, a partial and temporary reorganization of traffic on Regional Road No. 22.

This modification will take effect from Thursday, October 31, 2024, and will last for 14 days.

The change affects approximately 4 kilometers of the road heading towards Tunis. During this period, traffic will be temporarily diverted to the road leading to Hammamet, which will exceptionally be adapted to function in both directions.

This reorganization aims to enable the installation of the final layer of asphalt on the road leading to Tunis.

In coordination with the Traffic Police, this measure was taken to ensure the smooth execution of the works. The Ministry urges road users to exercise caution, respect the existing signage, and reduce their speed to avoid any incidents, as traffic congestion is expected due to this temporary diversion.

For added safety and fluidity, drivers are advised to be vigilant and plan their trips accordingly.
