Ministry of Commerce Announces 2025 Budget of 3971 Million Dinars
The Ministry of Commerce has announced a budget of 3971 million dinars for 2025, with 95.7% allocated to subsidizing basic products, marking a 6% increase compared to 2024.
According to Minister Samir Abid, this increase reflects the state's commitment to maintaining its social role.
Excluding subsidies, the ministry's budget amounts to 170 million dinars, representing a marginal increase of 1.1%.
Salary expenses are increasing by 13%, reaching 57 million dinars, due to new recruitments aimed at strengthening the economic control corps.
Investment expenses are decreasing to 3.4 million dinars, compared to 4.7 million dinars in 2024, while intervention expenses, set at 96 million dinars, are decreasing by 3.3%.
Despite limited resources, the ministry affirms its intention to strengthen market control to ensure the supply of basic products and defend Tunisia's economic interests.
