Tunisia Seeks to Strengthen Tourism Ties with Poland through "Mega Fun Tour" Event
During the "Mega Fun Tour" event held from October 27 to 30 in Djerba, Helmi Hassine, General Director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office (ONTT), highlighted the importance of this initiative, organized in collaboration with tour operator Sun & Fun Holidays, to boost Tunisia's visibility among Polish tourists.
This event aims to introduce Djerba to major Polish tour operators and journalists, encouraging them to promote the destination further.
Since January 2024, over 310,000 Polish tourists have visited Tunisia, a 51% increase compared to 2023 and three times higher than in 2019. These results demonstrate the growing appeal of the country to Polish visitors, despite strong regional competition.
Hassine also mentioned that Djerba benefits from three direct weekly flights from Poland, with the goal of extending the tourist season by attracting visitors outside of summer.
New connections are being considered to Enfidha and Tunis, and a weekly flight to Tabarka is planned from June to October 2025, to diversify access to Tunisia.
For 2025, the ONTT plans to intensify digital promotion to further diversify markets and destinations, with a targeted marketing strategy focused on the Polish market.
