MEDIANET Incubator Organizes FoodStart DemoDay


On May 30, 2025, MEDIANET Incubator hosted the DemoDay of the second edition of FoodStart, a program dedicated to innovation in the foodtech sector.

The Startup Village Menzah event brought together over 150 key players from the Tunisian ecosystem: entrepreneurs, investors, partner institutions, specialized media, and entrepreneurs from all over the country.

7 Startups, 7 Solutions for the Future of Foodtech


This Demo Day marks the culmination of a 9-month journey that began in September 2024, followed by a rigorous selection process, the startups benefited from 6 months of intensive support since December 2024 before presenting their solutions.

The 7 incubated startups presented concrete and innovative technological solutions, illustrating the diversity of approaches in Tunisian FoodTech:

  • Emely – Gourmet date transformation
  • Citrustech – Industrial biorefinery using waste
  • Keef – Temperature-controlled food delivery service
  • Sonya Flowers – Edible flower cultivation
  • SV Lab – Secure and eco-responsible bee venom extraction device
  • Vegana – Local ingredient-based plant-based meat production
  • Weefarm – Cloud-farming for farmers and agro-enterprises

A Program with Impact and Results


FoodStart, carried by MEDIANET Incubator, accompanies entrepreneurs from ideation to market validation with an approach centered on economic, social, and environmental impact. The 2.0 edition in numbers:

  • 6 workshops & 6 thematic conferences
  • 3 tasting sessions
  • 25 individual coaching sessions
  • +30 mentors, experts, and coaches mobilized
  • 2 startups labeled, 2 in commercialization phase, 5 prototypes ready, 1 patent filed
  • 57% of startups are led by women

Strengthened Ecosystem Dynamics


During the event, Startup Village announced the inauguration of its new site, scheduled for June 17, 2025, to expand its hosting and support capacities.
