Morocco Launches 400 MW Wind Farm Project in the North
The Moroccan Agency for Renewable Energies, Masen, launched a pre-qualification tender on April 25, 2024, for a 400 MW wind farm project in the north of the country. This tender, for the Nassim Nord wind farm, requires developers to submit pre-qualification offers by June 24 to finance, build, and operate the wind farm.
The project consists of a 150 MW wind farm in the northern provinces of Fahs Anjra M'diq-Fnideq and a 250 MW wind farm in the provinces of Tangier and Tetouan. Morocco aims to increase the share of renewable energies in its installed capacity to 52% by 2030, up from the current 37.6%.
