European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Appoints Mark Davis as New Director for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) Region
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has appointed Mark Davis as its new Director for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) region.
He will assume his duties on October 1, 2024. Davis, who succeeds Heike Harmgart, aims to continue the bank's efforts to strengthen the region's economies by focusing on green transition, improving business competitiveness, financial sector resilience, inclusion, and digitalization.
Mark Davis brings 28 years of experience in the financial sector, having held various positions at international financial institutions such as the World Bank, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs.
Currently, he serves as Regional Director for Central Europe at the EBRD. His extensive experience in business development, global capital markets, and structural policy dialogue makes him a strategic choice to lead the EBRD's initiatives in the SEMED region.
