The European Union Lags Behind the US and China in Artificial Intelligence Investment, Says Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang
The European Union is still far behind the United States and China in terms of investment in artificial intelligence, according to Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia.
In August, the bloc adopted the world's first global rules to regulate AI, which are now in effect.
Huang emphasizes that the European Union needs to accelerate its progress in AI, highlighting that there is a growing awareness in each country that data is a precious national resource.
For now, there are only a handful of AI companies in Europe, such as French Mistral and German Aleph Alpha. In contrast, Nvidia, an American company playing a key role in AI development, is now the second-largest publicly traded company in the US, just after Apple, with a market value of $3.52 billion.
