UNESCO Launches Call for Applications to Fund 100 Youth Projects Worldwide
UNESCO has launched a call for applications to fund 100 youth projects globally, titled "Together for Youth Creativity and Well-being." This program aims to promote youth creativity while strengthening their well-being. Projects must be submitted before September 30, 2024, and are open to young people aged 18 to 30.
The Global Youth Grant Scheme (GYGS) is being implemented in partnership with the South Korean K-pop group Seventeen.
Launched on June 26, 2024, this program follows Seventeen's appointment as UNESCO's Goodwill Ambassador for Youth.
The funded initiatives can cover various domains, including music, arts, and sports, contributing to improving the well-being of young people and their communities.
The 13-member group Seventeen is recognized for its creativity and innovative approach, combining hip-hop, singing, and stage performance.
They also participated in the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum in November 2023, reinforcing their status as a symbol of positive energy for millions of young people worldwide.
