Teachers' Union Rejects Ministry's Online Platform for Grading
The General Federation of Secondary Education has forbidden its affiliated teachers from using the online platform set up by the Ministry of Education to record their students' grades.
The federation explained this decision by stating that the ministry has gone back on its word. In fact, during the last meeting, the ministry asked teachers to submit students' grades in the usual classical manner. However, after the meeting, the ministry changed its decision once again and requested that teachers use the digital platform.
The federation declared its refusal of the ministry's policy, which creates tension and disrupts the normal functioning of classes by issuing successive announcements that impose unilateral decisions without consultation.
The federation concluded its official statement by calling on teachers to boycott the new digital platform dedicated to collecting students' grades.
