Tunisia-Italy Economic and Business Forum
On June 24 and 25, 2026, the UTICA headquarters in Tunis hosted the Tunisia-Italy Economic and Business Forum, a high-level event that brought together around 600 Italian and Tunisian representatives from institutions, entrepreneurial associations, and companies with a common goal: to strengthen a historical economic partnership and open up new perspectives for cooperation in strategic sectors.
Signing of a Partnership Agreement
During the event, the UBCI and the Tunisian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CTICI) signed a partnership agreement, translating their common will to promote investments, facilitate economic exchanges, and strengthen support for companies from both countries. The agreement was signed by Mohamed Koubaa, General Manager of UBCI, and Mourad Fradi, President of CTICI.
Launch of the Italy Desk
On this occasion, the Union Bank for Commerce and Industry (UBCI) announced the official launch of its Italy Desk, a device designed to offer dedicated banking support to Italian companies present in Tunisia or wishing to establish themselves there, as well as to Tunisian companies developing business relationships with Italy.
Objectives of the Italy Desk
The Italy Desk is a dedicated banking contact point, designed to meet the specific needs of Italian investors. It provides personalized support based on UBCI's expertise, and its services will also be extended to Italian residents in Tunisia.
Partnership with CTICI
The partnership with CTICI will contribute to promoting the UBCI's Italy Desk among the Italian business community, strengthening its visibility, and facilitating access to a specialized banking interlocutor capable of supporting companies throughout their projects.
Management of the Italy Desk
The Italy Desk will be managed by Ms. Amina Khouadja, who will ensure the support of companies by mobilizing the expertise of all the bank's professions.
UBCI's Ambition
Through the launch of its Italy Desk and the signing of this partnership with CTICI, UBCI confirms its ambition to become the reference banking partner for Italian companies and the Italian community in Tunisia, and a committed player in strengthening economic relations between Tunisia and Italy, serving the sustainable development of investments, trade, and cooperation between the two countries.
