Tunisia's National Tourism Office in Beijing Wins Prestigious Award

The Tunisian National Tourism Office (ONTT) in Beijing has been recognized as one of the best tourism offices in China for 2024.

This distinction was awarded during the "Global Luxury Tourism and Hotels Awards" ceremony, organized by the Chinese luxury-focused website Luxury Times, on January 19, 2024. Tunisia is now ranked alongside prestigious destinations such as the Maldives, France, Turkey, and Italy.

This event is part of the efforts to promote Tunisia as a tourist destination in the Chinese market and to strengthen tourism cooperation with China. The ceremony, held in Beijing, brought together numerous influential figures from the sector, representatives from Chinese and international media, as well as specialized content creators.

The Tunisian Ambassador to China, Adil Larbi, attended the event accompanied by Mohamed Anes Touati, diplomat in charge of cultural and tourism cooperation, and Anouar Chtoui, representative of the ONTT in Beijing. In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted the growing importance of Chinese tourism for Tunisia and presented the initiatives taken by the government to encourage foreign investment and diversify tourist markets, particularly by opening up to promising Asian markets.

A promotional film was screened to showcase Tunisia's cultural and natural assets, aiming to inspire Chinese tourists to visit the country and explore its many riches. This international recognition marks a strategic breakthrough for Tunisia, which aims to strengthen its presence in the Asian tourist market and become a top destination for Chinese travelers.
