Apple and Samsung Dominate the Smartphone Market in Q1 2024
In the first quarter of this year, Apple and Samsung continue to dominate the smartphone market, with five devices from each brand ranking among the top 10 best-selling smartphones globally.
According to research firm Counterpoint Research, here is the top 10 list of best-selling smartphones worldwide during the first three months of 2024:
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 15
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 14
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Galaxy A15 5G
- Galaxy A5
- iPhone 15 Plus
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy A34
Notably, this is the first time that all devices in the top 10 are 5G-compatible and are primarily "premium" devices, with a selling price exceeding $600.
Counterpoint Research also observes a trend towards sustainability among consumers, as "consumers are holding onto their smartphones for longer, as upgrades offer limited differentiation in terms of features."
