Apple Prepares to Unveil iPhone 16, Emphasizing Artificial Intelligence Features
Apple is gearing up to launch its iPhone 16, highlighting how the flagship device's features are infused with artificial intelligence.
During a June conference, Apple presented its version of generative AI, known as Apple Intelligence, at its developers' conference. This technology can generate text, images, and other content on demand.
However, these improvements will take time before they become available to consumers.
Apple Intelligence is expected to be available in a software update for iPhone and iPad operating systems, likely in October, with a complete Siri upgrade planned for early next year.
In a context of slowing iPhone sales, the new devices constitute a crucial update for the company, which is betting that the AI feature will encourage consumers to upgrade.
The iPhone 16 range will be the first from Apple to be designed around these AI features, although they will also be available on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, the high-end versions of the previous generation's devices. New versions of the Apple Watch and AirPods are also expected.
So far, Apple has announced a release schedule for Apple Intelligence exclusively in the United States, where its launch is planned on compatible devices this fall.
The iPhone 16 is expected to officially launch on September 20.
