Digitalization of Services in Tunisia: "E-Houwiya" App Now Available on App Store
In an effort to further digitalize services in Tunisia, the "e-houwiya" application is now available on the App Store, offering Tunisians, both in Tunisia and abroad, the opportunity to obtain a secure and simplified digital identity.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Communication Technologies on its Facebook page, "e-houwiya" is an application that provides Tunisian citizens, aged 18 and above, holding a national identity card, with the ability to obtain a digital identity on their mobile device. This digital identity is linked to the citizen's unique identifier and relies on either the mobile device or personal phone number to accept verification codes during each login operation. The verification of the digital identity's validity period is also available.
The "e-houwiya" app also facilitates the electronic signing of documents, completion of administrative procedures, and extraction of official documents online in a reliable and secure manner. All of this can be done simply and at any time, without the need to physically visit an administration office.
