Tunisian Olive Oil Shines on the International Stage
Tunisian olive oil has recently made a splash on the international scene, taking top honors at the prestigious European International Olive Oil Competition (EIOOC) held in Geneva from May 6 to 9, 2024. Tunisia outshone its competitors, winning a total of 32 awards, including 26 gold medals for the quality of its product.
This achievement has propelled Tunisia to the top rank of European competitions, demonstrating not only the superiority of its olive oil but also its commitment to excellence and health. With an additional four gold medals in the health category and two silver medals, Tunisia has solidified its position as a leader in a field where tradition meets innovation.
The competition saw the participation of industry giants such as Spain, Italy, and Greece, as well as other nations renowned for their olive oil production, including Turkey, Brazil, France, and many others.
In Italy, Tunisia stole the spotlight, thanks to the Domaine Adonis brand, which triumphed at the 2024 Biol competition in Bari, where the world's top olive oil producers vie for the top prize.
Tunisia is no longer just producing olive oil; it's cultivating an art, harvesting excellence, and today, reaping the rewards of its labor to thunderous applause from around the world.
