Libyan Government to Cover Full Costs for Citizens' Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca in 2025
The Libyan national unity government will cover the entire cost of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca for Libyan citizens in 2025, announced Sabri Al Buaishi, Vice President of the General Authority for Hajj and Umrah Affairs.
The estimated cost of the Hajj journey per pilgrim is $8,000, which includes air tickets, visa fees, air and land transportation, food, accommodation in 5-star hotels near the sacred mosques in Mecca and Medina, as well as pocket money.
Out of the available places, 550 have been allocated to residents of areas affected by flooding, and 1050 have been offered to families of martyrs and missing persons. It is worth noting that Libya's total quota for the Hajj this year is 7800 places, and the draw for the 2025 Hajj was closed on November 17th last year.
