Tunisia May Become a Key Piece in SEAT's Industrial Strategy

The Spanish car manufacturer, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group, has recently sent a delegation led by Marc Riera Schöngarth, Vice President of Purchasing, to identify concrete paths for collaboration and integration with Tunisia's industrial ecosystem. This rapprochement comes at a time when over 280 automotive component companies are already operating in Tunisia, employing over 100,000 people and generating nearly three billion euros in exports in 2023, according to FIPA Tunisia's figures.

Welcomed by Jalel Tebib, General Director of FIPA Tunisia, the SEAT delegation was able to appreciate the country's advantages: a qualified and competitive workforce, an incentivizing regulatory framework thanks to the new Investment Code (Law No. 2016-71), and a geographical proximity that significantly reduces logistical costs to Europe. This visit, organized with the participation of ENNAKL Automobiles' officials, the official distributor of the brand in Tunisia, aims to strengthen existing ties and increase local content in vehicles destined for the North African market.
