New York Remains the Favorite City of Billionaires with 144 Wealthy Residents, According to Altrata Study
New York has maintained its position as the top city for billionaires, with 144 wealthy residents, according to a recent study by Altrata.
The American metropolis has surpassed London, which takes second place with 78 billionaires, and Moscow, which has risen to fifth position with 77 billionaires, marking its return to the global top five.
Notably, there has been a global increase in the number of billionaires, with a 4% rise, and a 9% growth in their collective wealth compared to the previous year.
The number of Russian billionaires, in particular, has increased by 5.4% to reach 118 individuals nationwide, confirming Moscow's renewed attractiveness.
Meanwhile, India has stood out with a remarkable 15.9% increase in its billionaire population, now boasting 40 wealthy individuals, while several Chinese cities have experienced declines due to economic difficulties and a crisis in the real estate market.
This global ranking highlights the resilience of certain economic hubs, with New York continuing to assert its supremacy as the capital of great fortunes.
