Tunisia’s Embassy in Warsaw to Launch Machine-Readable Passport Production Unit

Starting September 21, 2026, the Tunisian Embassy in Warsaw will establish a dedicated unit for producing machine-readable passports. This new service will be available to Tunisian nationals residing in Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Latvia.

The initiative was developed through close coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad and the Ministry of Interior. It aims to enable the local processing of passport applications in full compliance with existing procedures.

The establishment of this unit in Warsaw is part of a broader, phased rollout of similar facilities across Tunisia’s diplomatic and consular missions worldwide. Since June 2025, mobile passport production units have also been deployed, notably aboard the ships Tanit and Carthage.

Additionally, this system has been extended to several other Tunisian embassies, including those in Tokyo, Beijing, and Belgrade.
