Tunisian Post Launches Free "e-Dinar Wallet" to Promote Financial Inclusion and Digital Payments
The Tunisian Post has made a free "e-Dinar Wallet" available to all citizens, accessible at all its branches, with the aim of strengthening financial inclusion, developing digital payments, and simplifying access to its services.
According to a statement released on July 15, this digital solution is secure, easy to use, and valid for ten years. With this Wallet, citizens can perform a wide range of financial operations, either through the Tunisian Post's mobile app D17 or directly online.
In practice, the e-Dinar Wallet allows users to:
- Transfer money instantly
- Send and receive money orders
- Pay for purchases from affiliated merchants
- Pay various bills (internet, electricity - STEG, water - SONEDE, mobile operators)
- Pay administrative fees such as technical control fees or other taxes through official platforms
- Make secure payments on all e-commerce websites
- Pay university registration and accommodation fees for distance learning students
- Even facilitate school registration, national exam fees, or canteen payments for students
Another practical innovation: users will be able to withdraw cash without a bank card directly from the Tunisian Post's automated teller machines (ATMs).
