Reminder: Real Estate Wealth Tax Must be Paid by June 30th
The General Directorate of Taxes has issued a reminder on its Facebook page that the real estate wealth tax must be paid by June 30th.
Who is Affected?
This tax applies to any individual who owns buildings, whether built or not, with a total value of 3 million dinars or more. This includes properties owned by minors who are under the care of the taxpayer. The tax rate is 0.5%.
Important Dates
- The tax is applicable as of January 1st, 2023.
- The deadline for declaration is June 30th of each year.
Legal Basis
This tax is in accordance with Article 23 of Decree No. 79-2022 of December 22, 2022, which pertains to the finance law for the year 2023.
