Total Value of Banknotes and Coins in Circulation in Tunisia Sees Growth in 2024
The total value of banknotes and coins in circulation in Tunisia recorded a growth in 2024, reaching 22.594.7 million dinars, compared to 20.842.2 million dinars the previous year. According to the financial statements published yesterday, April 15, this annual increase of 1.752.5 million dinars represents a growth rate of 8.4%.
This growth remains sustained, although it marks a slowdown compared to the previous year: the growth rate was 10.7% between the end of 2022 and the end of 2023. Another notable fact is that banknotes continue to represent almost the entire fiduciary circulation, with a share of 97.8%.
