Visa-Free Travel to Kenya for Tunisians
As of July 2025, Tunisian citizens no longer require a visa to travel to Kenya, marking a significant simplification of travel formalities. This total exemption also includes the abolition of the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), contrary to some outdated information still in circulation.
Context of the Exemption
Since July 1, 2025, Kenya has exempted citizens of most African countries, including Tunisia, from any visa or ETA requirements. Tunisian travelers can now enter Kenya freely with a valid passport for a stay of up to 90 days. This measure, driven by President William Ruto, aims to boost intra-African tourism without additional costs.
Recent Changes
Prior to 2025, a paid ETA (USD 30) was required 72 hours before the flight, in addition to a potential e-visa. The new policy eliminates all these requirements: travelers can now present themselves directly upon arrival. As of 2026, Kenya is one of the 35 visa-free destinations for Tunisians.
Advice for Travelers
Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your return date, and that you have a return ticket and proven accommodation.
