Agricultural and Fishing Sector in Tunisia Sees Decline in Declared Investments but Rise in Approved Ones between January and March 2025

According to the National Observatory of Agriculture (Onagri), the agricultural and fishing sector has witnessed a decline in declared investments but a rise in approved projects between January and March 2025. This evolution reflects a refocus on more concrete projects with a high economic impact.

During this quarter, 2327 investment operations were declared, a 20% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. The value of these intentions decreased by 18%, reaching 287.3 million dinars. On the other hand, 1512 projects obtained approval from the authorities, a 12% increase, with an envelope of 89.2 million dinars, a 49% progression.

Subsidies have slightly increased by 2%, reaching 21.3 million dinars. As for real estate loans granted, they have doubled to reach 1.6 million dinars, supporting 11 agricultural operators on 112 hectares.
