Provisional Results of State Budget Execution as of August 2025
The provisional results of the State Budget execution as of August 2025 show a progression of tax revenues, although this growth is more moderate than that recorded in 2024.
As of August 2025, the cumulative tax revenues amount to 29,104.9 million dinars, representing an increase of 6.4% compared to the same period in 2024. This rate is lower than the one observed last year, where revenues had progressed by 9.9%, highlighting a slight slowdown in tax collection. Tax revenues constitute the majority of budgetary resources, which total 31,639.4 million dinars as of August 2025, contributing to an overall growth of revenues of 5.6%.
Monthly Analysis
The monthly analysis reveals notable variations. The first months of 2025 had a strong start, with revenues exceeding those of 2024. June 2025 stands out with a peak of 4,693.7 million, far surpassing the 4,224.2 million of the same month the previous year. In contrast, August 2025 shows 3,145.2 million, lower than the 3,270.8 million of August 2024. The months of April and May also show slightly lower revenues than those of the previous year, confirming monthly volatility.
If tax revenues continue to provide an essential source of financing for the state budget, the decline in the growth rate in 2025 calls for increased vigilance for the remaining months of the year.
