The Municipality of Bardo Announces Record Revenues for 2024
The municipality of Bardo has announced that it will end 2024 with record revenues. As of December 18, 2024, the revenues from Title I of the budget have already reached 95% of the estimated amounts and are expected to meet the set objectives by the end of the fiscal year. The realization rates are 93% for built property taxes, 147% for non-built property taxes, and 105% for commercial and industrial activity taxes. The total revenue is expected to reach 10,952 million dinars, a first in the history of the commune, in addition to a development budget (Title II) dedicated to project implementation amounting to 5 million dinars.
This will enable the improvement of service quality, particularly in terms of cleanliness. Those familiar with Bardo have certainly noticed the pace of development and private investment, which has created a commercial dynamic, especially on its main avenue. At the same time, the population is growing rapidly, particularly due to the proximity of universities, which poses a significant environmental challenge.
For 2025, the focus will be on mobilizing more internal resources and better controlling expenses. We believe that with its strategic position and improved connectivity to neighboring areas thanks to the new RFR line, which will come into operation in a few weeks, Bardo still has growth potential. There is a need for infrastructure and development projects on the one hand, and an effort from residents to maintain cleanliness on the other. Enhancing the attractiveness of the commune is in everyone's interest.
