Requirements for Creating a Medical Teleconsultation Platform or Practicing Telemedicine in a Medical Cooperation Project
To create a medical teleconsultation platform or to practice telemedicine in a medical cooperation project, the following documents must be provided, according to a decree by the Minister of Health published in the Official Journal (regulating the list of necessary documents to request authorization for setting up a telemedicine platform or practicing telemedicine in a medical cooperation project):
1. Letter of Intent
- A signed letter by the platform or project manager.
2. Contact Information
- The contact details of the platform or project manager.
3. Platform or Project Details
- Details about the platform or project, including:
- Tools used
- Remote medical acts
- Data processing, storage, and security
- Procedures for protecting medical secrecy and personal data
4. Data Protection Commitment
- A commitment not to use data for commercial purposes and not to transfer data without authorization.
5. Data Protection Authorization
- A copy of the data processing authorization from the National Instance for Personal Data Protection (INPDP).
Additional Requirements for Digital Platform Authorization
To obtain authorization for creating a digital platform, the following must be included:
- An agreement with doctors or dentists
- A detailed agreement with the medical teams involved in the project
- These agreements must be approved by the relevant professional organizations.
