Tunis Metro Resumes Normal Operations After Electrical Fault
The Tunis Transportation Company (Transtu) informs its users that metro train circulation has resumed normally on all lines as of 11:35 am this Tuesday, August 12, 2025, following an electrical fault that occurred in the morning.
This temporary interruption was caused by a malfunction of the overhead electrical cables located in the Tunis Marine depot, in the city center.
The fault resulted in a power outage between the Tunis Marine and Avenue de la Gare electrical transformation stations, preventing the complete departure of metro trains.
