Financial Market Council to Publish Financial Statements Online

The Financial Market Council (CMF) has announced that financial statements of brokerage firms and management companies will be published starting from the fiscal year closed on December 31, 2025. This decision aims to strengthen transparency, access to information, and good governance principles in the Tunisian financial market.

According to the official CMF statement, concerned companies will continue to submit their annual financial statements, accompanied by the auditor's report, within a maximum of three months after the closing of their accounting period. The novelty lies in the fact that these documents will be made public on the CMF website, providing investors and the general public with direct access to these financial information.

The regulator also invites auditors to pay particular attention to client assets. Even in the absence of a specific accounting standard, they are required to evaluate the internal control system and verify compliance with regulations related to the management of client assets. This requirement is based on Tunisian accounting standard No. 14, which frames off-balance-sheet commitments and post-closing events.

By calling for strict compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, the CMF reaffirms its commitment to protecting investors and preserving the integrity of the financial market.
