The Future of Jobs: Key Skills for Tomorrow's Challenges
According to the Future of Jobs report produced by the World Economic Forum since 2015, the necessary skills to adapt to tomorrow's challenges are already taking shape. By 2030, certain key skills will take center stage, both in Tunisia and at the regional and global levels. Among these skills, artificial intelligence (AI) and big data top the list of priorities, closely followed by essential human skills such as leadership, creative thinking, and resilience.
In Tunisia, AI occupies a prominent position, reflecting the importance of digital transformation. Leadership and social influence come in second, highlighting the need to train leaders who can inspire and guide in a rapidly changing economic and social context. Cybersecurity, creative thinking, and talent management also feature among the priorities, emphasizing the importance of inclusive and secure innovation for the country's future.
In the MENA region, the focus is on cybersecurity and AI, strategic pillars in the face of growing technological challenges. Technological culture and resilience follow, testifying to the importance of building flexible societies capable of responding to crises. Globally, the trends converge on AI, cybersecurity, and creative thinking. However, skills such as environmental management and continuous learning are emerging as indispensable priorities for a sustainable future.
As Tunisia prepares to meet these challenges, investing in education and training to cultivate these skills will be crucial. The future belongs to those who master not only technologies but also the art of collaboration, innovation, and adaptation.
