Tunisian Railway Workers to Go on Strike on September 25 and 26, 2024
According to information relayed by Achaâb News, a media outlet affiliated with the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT), Tunisian railway workers will go on strike on Wednesday, September 25, and Thursday, September 26, 2024.
The strike will involve employees of the Tunisian National Railway Company (Sncft) and the Railway Works Company (Sotrafer).
The main demands of the strike are centered around improving working conditions for agents and executives, particularly social measures in their favor.
After discussions held at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Labor Conflict Management, the strike, which was initially postponed twice, has been confirmed following the failure of negotiations led by the Central Conciliation Commission.
