World Refrigeration Day Celebrated with Workshop on Kigali Implementation Plan
Yesterday, the National Ozone Unit and UNIDO organized a workshop to celebrate World Refrigeration Day. This event presented ongoing activities and future projects under the Montreal Protocol, particularly the new "Kigali Implementation Plan" project. This project aims to reduce the consumption of HFC substances, which significantly contribute to climate warming.
Over 70 participants from public and private institutions, as well as actors in the refrigeration sector, attended this event. They exchanged views on current initiatives and future challenges in combating climate change.
During the workshop, three Tunisian experts were named "Cold Champions" for 2024, in recognition of their exceptional contributions in the field of refrigeration:
- Aida Sliti, refrigeration expert and trainer
- Ridha Jabloui, refrigeration expert and trainer
- Hammadi Ferjani, refrigeration expert and trainer
This workshop not only celebrated World Refrigeration Day but also highlighted the importance of international cooperation and local initiatives to protect our environment and combat climate warming.
