With high prices, limited production, and industrial projects struggling to materialize, SAF remains a promising but far from massive lever.
Current State of SAF Production
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), global SAF production is expected to reach around 1.5 to 2 million tons in the near term, accounting for less than 1% of the total fuel consumption in aviation.
