Call for Applications: Sustainable Agricultural Models Program
The Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), in partnership with the GEWEET/PNUD project, is launching a call for applications to select 14 agricultural farms as part of a pilot program dedicated to transitioning to more sustainable agricultural models.
Eligibility Criteria
This initiative is aimed at farmers based in the southern regions of Tunisia, including Tataouine, Médenine, Gabès, Tozeur, Kébili, and Gafsa, as well as Kairouan. The program targets existing farms with available land resources and compliant authorizations, particularly for water usage.
Program Overview
The "CAP Agri (Climate Access Pathway)" program offers a structured support system to improve the resilience of farms in the face of climate change and promote more efficient agricultural practices. The selected farms will benefit from an initial diagnosis focusing on water management, soil quality, and circular practices. They will then participate in a training and knowledge-sharing program within reference structures.
Support and Benefits
A technical support system will also be provided to help participants develop economically viable projects and improve their presentation to financiers. The program includes access to financing opportunities through the presentation of projects at a dedicated event bringing together financial institutions. Additional visibility will be offered at the 2026 SIAT agricultural fair, where products from selected farms can be exhibited.
Encouraging Innovation and Circular Economy
The organizers encourage applicants to engage in innovative and circular economy approaches, considered as levers for development in the agricultural sector.
Application Deadline
Applications are open until June 15, 2026.
