Italian Oil Company ENI Strengthens Investments in Tunisia, Confirming Strategic Commitment to Hydrocarbon Sector
A meeting was held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy, during which the Italian oil company ENI confirmed its strategic commitment to the hydrocarbon sector, a pillar of the national economy.
Discussions focused on the company's current activities in Tunisia and its future investment prospects. In this context, Fatma Thabet Chiboub, highlighted the importance of the hydrocarbon sector in supporting the Tunisian economy and praised ENI's historical role as a key partner of the country since the 1960s in exploration and production operations.
According to data shared during the meeting, the average daily output of the exploitation concessions in which ENI is involved currently stands at 7,884 barrels and 467,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
Tunisia has committed to supporting and encouraging further investment in this strategic area, consolidating its cooperation with international partners such as ENI, in a controlled energy transition dynamic.
