The Spanish company Happypunt, specializing in innovative textile solutions, has announced its establishment in Tunisia, marking a new stage in the relaunch of the national textile sector.
The company's leaders, Jordi Castells and Fernando Teles, were received on October 10, 2025, by Jalel Tebib, Director General of FIPA-Tunisia, to discuss prospects for industrial collaboration and monitor ongoing projects in the field of technical textiles.
The new production unit in Tunisia plans to create immediate employment opportunities for 70 people, with a goal of 700 additional jobs within two years. This investment demonstrates the growing confidence of Spanish investors in the Tunisian market, thanks to its geographical proximity, qualified workforce, and recent reforms aimed at facilitating investment.
According to FIPA, the textile and clothing sector is experiencing sustained growth. Foreign direct investment (FDI) increased by 41.9% in the first half of 2025, rising from 92.8 million dinars in 2024 to 131.8 million dinars this year.
