Sotetel Achieves Spectacular Turnaround in 2025
After a slow start to the year, the Tunisian Society of Telecommunications Companies (Sotetel) made a remarkable recovery by the end of the fiscal year. The fourth-quarter 2025 indicators reveal a significant acceleration.
A Strong Finish to the Year
The last quarter was the driving force behind the year's success. With a 33.5% surge in revenue, reaching 29.7 million dinars, Sotetel not only made up for its first-half shortfall but also crossed a symbolic threshold. For the entire year, revenues reached a record high of 77.6 million dinars (+8% compared to 2024). This performance can be attributed to an aggressive commercial relaunch and the ramping up of strategic projects during the pivotal year-end period.
A Return to Profitability
The company's operational health follows the same upward trend. The operating result (EBITDA) for the last quarter increased by 41.2%, reaching 6.1 million dinars. On an annual basis, the EBITDA progressed to 9.16 million dinars, confirming the solidity of Sotetel's economic model despite a context of rising costs.
Controlled Management in the Face of Structural Challenges
Despite an overall increase in operating expenses (+8.5%), Sotetel demonstrates consistent management in line with its activity volume. In terms of project investments, the 8.2% increase in consumed purchases simply reflects the launch of new projects requiring significant equipment deliveries. Regarding human capital, personnel costs increased by 11%, a necessary investment linked to team reinforcement and new legal and salary provisions. As for financial balance, while financial expenses increased slightly, they are largely offset by an excellent performance in financial products (+21.9%).
A Positive Conclusion to 2025
In summary, Sotetel ends the year 2025 on an extremely positive note. The company's ability to mobilize its operational teams to achieve such an effective "sprint finish" testifies to its reactivity and solidity in the telecommunications market.
